1. THE LONELY FACE
Watching my face in the cold window pane
As it drowns in the spirals of a cigarette
Yet drowning in a silent sea of tears
Speaking hopeless eyes, feeling moveless lips

Listening to the music on the radio
I can feel people dancing
I'd like to dance, I'd like to sing
But not alone in an empty choir
Of this lonely face in the window
So where are you?
Where are you now?...

2. AS THE WALLS COME TUMBLIN' DOWN
The border of a wasteland-land, invisible for all
A gutter on a rightman's hand, no fly to fly above
Just a shattered butterfly, he's on the fly
He's out to die, my butterfly...
Good-bye!

Look at him he's sitting there upon the multi-coloured wall
The wall of fear that's painted by
The endless pain of young nen died
While travelling ahead, they are...
Dead!

Look at him, he's sitting there
Moveless - breathless - dead!
Approach, approach, my little
Multi-coloured friend!

I can see an old man, he's not knowing what to be
I cannot understand him, 'cos he's the mighty king
I can see an old man climbing on a hop-hope tree
I cannot understand him, but he wants to be the queen
...in a wasteland-land???

3. MY LITTLE COMPANION
Looking through the cold glass of the window
I can see the trees as they rush bye-bye
And I have no real chance to catch them
Suddenly the train stands still

And I saw her standing there
Lovely waving on the dirty platform
Did she recognize me?
Did she realize me?

Beside me the good young man
He used to be my companion
And yet he acts as my escort
Suffering from muscle atrophy
And yet he seems so strong...

I know I have to leave the train
To escape from my compartment
I have to catch her smile
I have to kiss her file
But my weak and feeble body
Hampers me in doing it

Above me the good young man
He used to take me out by force
And yet the doors are all locked up
Suffering from muscle atrophy
And yet he seems so strong...

Suddenly the train sets out
And I saw her standing there
Lovely waving on the dirty platform
Did she recognize me?
Did she realize me?

4. PEARS AND A GRAIN OF SAND
A tree of pears is standing in a wilderness of broken men
The pears are only puppets that are foolished, dressed as kings
The pears on trees are growing while the sand is turning dry
And every grain of sand will never see a reason why
Why do we turn dry?
I don't know why
Cry - and start to cry

I want to make the black clouds cry
I want them to be sweet not dry
So that all grains of sand may grow
Like in a Monty-Python-Show
And me I know what I will be
A shining great red rose
That looks upon the other ones
With a held-up smiling nose

Look at them, look at those
I'm the mighty great red rose...

5. MY UNFORTUNATELY INCOMPLETED YEARNING
(IT'S NOT OVER, BABY!)
The last cigarette get's smashed
by the power of ten broken fingers
The empty bottle gets thrown
Into the corner of a broken heart

Look at the splinters how lovely their reflections dance
On my naked body - dance, dance, dance, you cool-fool body!
My feelings concentrated on nothing
But your body, your flesh, your breast
Those mighty tits, it was them, it was their fault
How they tease me, how they toil me, go out!
Leave me behind, no longer alone with you
And so remainng alone with myself

I leave in hope for none
For though my kingdom shall return
That's now for ever gone
Return, return, return my love!
Return and be my star
Return, return, return my love!
Be guided now and far

6. THE GUILTY TREE
I can see a young man in the trees
Listing to the wind
I can see his wife, his family
As they laugh and dance and sing

But through the looking-glass of love
I can see his faded tears
As they fall upon a broken wall
That many tears had smeared

It was no war, no revolution that broke the wall to pieces
The roots had been implanted long before
It was them who splntered the cold grey stone
It was them, it was their work

7. BENJAMIN, THE FOX
It's me, I am the fox
Can't you see me as I'm standing over there
Below the rocks

Benjamin is my name
And I know I'll always be
The one who is to blame

But in fact I'm not
Half as bad as in the shallow stories
That you write a lot

It's me, I am the fox
Can't you help me to refute this antiquated
Prejudice

8. ANOTHER MIRROR? ANOTHER FACE?
The time it has come to see it was wrong
To comprehend that I'm my own mistake
And the mirror answers in lonely tears
The questions beeing asked by my lonely eyes

I'm no longer the one who is in the right
I believe that I never have been
I'm no longer the one to tell you to fight
And I'm sure that I can't

My fight had an end before I was born
Being born into a well-made bed
Everything dressed in childish blue
Everything cleaned, so i had nothing to do

The way that I went was planned long before
The way that I went had been gone without core
It's always my way, gone without me
It's always my way, lost in my dreams

9. THE RAINBOW SONG
Under the rainbow of oblivion
The darkness apeears in motley colours
And so we sit here, amused by the tears
That no one knew of

They fell in silent secretness
And now get baptized by rememberance
DREADFUL STUPID
Is written on the stamp

'Cos under the rainbow of oblivion
The darkness gets drawn by motley colours

It's always the same rainbow
This telltale creature of imagination
This frivolous feeling of ingravity
Rainbow - where are you shing to?
Rainbow - where are you leading me?
Rainbow - when will I find your end?
I follow into your great wide world of fantasy

10. THE ALTERNATIVE ENTRANCE
Hand in hand they stood on the roof
Singing songs of love and life
But before jumping down the shouted out loud
WE'RE HAPPY NOW, ...!

11. SON OF HIS MOTHER (AND VICE VERSA)
Mama, I need you now
Come here and take my pen
Write the lovesongs that you love
Don't be shy, just take me now
Drink all of my sweet wine
'Cos everything I have for you
It comes from deep inside

Mama, I want you now
Lay down, receive my juice
Feel the lovethings that I love
Just be wild, don't leave me now
Your womb shall now be mine
'Cos everything I give to you
I claim from you instead

Mama, I need you now!
Mama, I want you now!...home
